Bosch ‘Evolution’ Bracketless Wiper Blades Clean Better in Snow, Ice and Spring Rains

Driving in winter as it becomes early spring brings special challenges in visibility. Snow, ice and sleet can be difficult to wipe clear, while the sudden change to heavy spring rains can be daunting. Plus, snow and ice can build up in the framework of conventional wiper blades, causing streaking and compromising wiper blade effectiveness. All this can make driving conditions dangerous due to obstructed vision.

One solution to these shifting seasonal visibility challenges lies in Bosch Evolution all season bracketless wiper blade technology that offers two key benefits. The first is its ability to exert uniform pressure against windshield glass, greatly reducing the likelihood of streaking. Second, the bracketless design also makes the Bosch Evolution an excellent all season blade because there is no exposed metal framework that can get clogged with snow and ice, compromising blade performance.

Evolution blades are made using a proprietary rubber compound that stands up to grit and windshield debris, as well as the harmful effects of ozone and solar ultra-violet rays that can shorten the life of lesser-quality blades.

Features of the Evolution include a graphite-treated, precision-cut, natural rubber wiping edge and a symmetrical wind spoiler that channels airflow to create down force for better windshield contact and a cleaner wipe. The wind spoiler also protects the tension springs from snow and ice build-up for superior all season wiping performance.

Dual precision-tensioned internal steel springs create tension memory while the springs apply uniform pressure along the entire length for a consistent wipe.

With 95 percent coverage of pin arm, hook arm and side lock wiper blade applications, Bosch Evolution bracketless wiper blades provide the flexibility to meet the needs of a broad range of motorists, thanks to Bosch’s innovative connector design. Not only do Evolution blades fit a variety of applications, they also provide total ease of installation while yielding superior wiping performance to assure a positive  customer experience

The newest member of the Bosch wiper blade portfolio, Evolution is positioned between the pioneering bracketless Bosch ICON and the Bosch EXCEL+ blades, and represents a new tier in premium grade Bosch products designed to exceed customer expectations for superior performance and value.

Comebacks are a hot topic today. You need to track
all comebacks, determine the reason (tech error, part error, training issue,
other) and then calculate the true cost of the comeback.
Here are a few things to consider:
• The loss of time when performing the comeback; time that the tech can use to
perform other work and generate profit;
• The misc costs, such as overhead costs, supplies, cleaners, etc.;
• Towing costs, rental, etc.;
• Cost to morale;
• Reputation damage; and
• Reduction to your profit margin.
For every part issue, you need to
inform your supplier. Sit down with suppliers on a regular basis. Don’t return defective
parts until you have listed the parts, and maintain a report. Document
everything.
Part issues are increasing. Every shop
owner I speak to is frustrated over this.
Remember, comebacks kill your bottom
line. The more comebacks you have, the more they’re killing your profits.
