The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Department on Friday was investigating a burglary that occurred just outside Jackson sometime after 8:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Lt. Robert Hull.
When employees arrived for work early Friday at Gearheads Auto Repair, 3961 Highway 25, they found that about $30,000 in tools, computers and other diagnostic equipment was missing from the store, said store owner Amy Ybarra.
"There was a substantial amount of tools and stuff taken, but that’s all I know right now," Hull said.
The entire back door to the business, including the frame, had been pried off the structure, Ybarra said.
