AAAS Announces Scholarship Applications Open
The Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast Educational Foundation (AAASEF) has announced that applications are now being accepted for the AAAS Educational Foundation Scholarships through March 31. The Foundation awarded six scholarships last year and hopes to equal or better that number this year.
Minnesota Proposes Lead Wheel Balance Weight Regulation
The state of Minnesota has proposed a ban on lead wheel balance weights for all vehicles within the state, including passenger and commercial vehicles. If passed, Minnesota would become the 7th state to enact a ban on lead wheel balance weights.

Car Care Council Women’s Board To Award Record Amount For 2014 Scholarship Program
The Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) raised more than $4,500 in its silent auction during the 2014 Women’s Board winter meeting, held Feb. 4-5 at the Renaissance Charleston in Charleston, S.C. Items for the auction were donated by WB associate companies and aftermarket supporters, and all proceeds will go to the WB scholarship fund, allowing the WB to award a record number of scholarships in 2014.
