Corvette To Go Electric With 2024 E-Ray

Edmunds says new model will offer 0-60 acceleration in 2.5 seconds from 6.2L V-8, front electric drive motors.

Think the current Corvette C8 is as good as it gets for Chevrolet: Admittedly, it’s pretty good – It’s the first ‘Vette with the engine behind the driver and the first ‘Vette with a motor featuring a flat-plane crankshaft. And now, according to Edmunds, in 2024 it’s going to get even better.

With the Z51 package the current Corvette rockets from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds (3.2 seconds if you factor in 1 foot of rollout) in Edmunds’ testing. According to the new and used car research resource, the new Corvettes will be available with all-wheel drive and an electrified powertrain.
