ACDelco Introduces New V-Ribbed Aramid Belts, 54 GM OE Belt Part Numbers

ACDelco is introducing new Professional V-Ribbed Aramid serpentine belts designed for demanding applications that require advanced technology and materials. Aramid cord is stronger than steel. Belts with aramid cord reduce noise, vibration and harshness - the most common reasons for customer complaints.

Aramid cord is stronger than steel. Belts with aramid cord reduce noise, vibration and harshness – the most common reasons for customer complaints. ACDelco’s V-Ribbed Aramid belts are an ideal choice for engines with high specific output; turbocharged engines; diesel engines and engines with challenging accessory drive geometry.

ACDelco is launching 11 part numbers of V-Ribbed Aramid belts covering the following applications:

• Ford: 2006-’09 Fusion 2.3L with manual transmission, 2010-’12 Fusion 2.5L, 2006-’09 Fusion 2.3L with auto transmission; 2005-’07 Focus 2.0L with and without California emissions and Focus 2.0L without air conditioning and without California emissions; 2009-’12 Escape 2.5L; 2001-’02 Escort 2.0L

• Chevrolet: 2008-’12 Colorado four- and five-cylinder

• GMC: 2008-’12 Canyon four- and five-cylinder

• Mazda: 2003-’05 Mazda 6; 2006-’09 Mazda 3 2.3L turbo

• Nissan: 2007-’13 Altima 2.5L.

ACDelco’s V-Ribbed Aramid belts meet or exceed OE standards. Other features include:

• Ensures durability of the belt and all related accessory components while preventing false engine codes

• Accessory belt drive functions as intended, eliminating instability and reducing noise

• Tough aramid cords eliminate span vibration and resulting roughness on demanding engine designs.

ACDelco also is adding 54 GM original equipment belt part numbers covering millions of GM vehicles from the 1988 to 2014 model years. Serpentine, timing and accessory drive belts are included.
