ASA, AASA To Host Vehicle Safety Inspection Forum

On Friday, Nov. 14, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), the light vehicle aftermarket division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), will host the Vehicle Safety Inspection and Maintenance Forum in East Norriton, Pa.

New AAIA/AASA Report Projects 3.4 Percent Industry Growth Through 2016

The U.S. automotive aftermarket industry is expected to grow 3.4 percent annually through 2016 to $263.8 billion, adding an additional $32.6 billion to the economy. These and additional aftermarket growth figures are contained in a jointly produced Channel Forecast Model sponsored by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA).

Brake Manufacturers Council Selects NSF International As Official Brake Friction Material Registrar

The states of California and Washington recently enacted legislation to limit the amount of copper and other constituents used in brake friction materials. To demonstrate brake manufacturers’ compliance with new state regulations, the Brake Manufacturers Council (BMC) of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association and the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) has selected NSF International to serve as its official registrar.
