ATMC Releases Annual Benchmarks Survey Results

The ATMC training benchmarks survey is conducted annually within the automotive and heavy-duty industry.

The ASE Training Mangers Council (ATMC) recently conducted its annual conference in Peachtree City, Georgia. The in-person conference featured several presentations and roundtable discussion groups focused on training and manager development. In addition, ATMC shared the latest findings of its training benchmarks survey with conference attendees.

“Over 100 participants were in attendance at the ATMC conference, representing the OE, aftermarket, trucking, fleet and collision segments of the industry,” said Matt Shepanek, president of ATMC. “We heard from many of the attendees that they found the presentations and breakout sessions very worthwhile and appreciated the opportunity to network with new colleagues and catch up with old industry friends.”

The ATMC conference featured a full agenda, including a thought-provoking session about the use of Microsoft Halo Lens in training. The event culminated with a presentation of the ATMC training benchmarks survey results where critical areas of how training is viewed by consumers and technician statistics were among the valuable information shared. Those training managers who were unable to attend the conference in person can view the presentations online.

The ATMC training benchmarks survey is conducted annually within the automotive and heavy-duty vehicle service and repair industry. The survey is designed to establish a series of metrics to help the industry recognize trends, provide a comparison standard and align the offerings of training providers with the needs of training consumers.

There was once a wise old man who lived high up in the Himalayan Mountains and, every so often, he would make the long, rough trek down to the village in the valley below. The villagers looked forward to seeing his stooped-over body as he hobbled into the town square. Many speculated on his age as he was rumored to be well over 100 years old. There he would entertain a huge crowd of passersby while he performed their favorite magic tricks and other feats of wisdom he had mastered over his many years.
