2015-NACECARS_breast-cancer_LogoThe NACE | CARS conference and exposition recently announced its involvement in fundraising to support Metro Detroit’s local breast cancer programs and national research. Since the release of these fundraising efforts, companies have already committed to support the program.

Painters Supply Equipment & Co., a PPG Platinum Distributor, AutoZone, and NAPA have committed to a total donation exceeding $6000 and will participate in selling pins throughout the event. Additionally, the Automotive Service Association (ASA), owner and host organization of NACE | CARS, has committed to match up to $5,000 based on the number of pins sold.

Painters Supply Equipment & Co. told NACE | CARS show management, “We are very proud to support this critically important ASA initiative which touches so many of our families, our friends and our colleagues.”

100% of the proceeds from contributions and pin sales will benefit the local and global breast cancer movement. In addition to monetary contributions, some companies are planning to incorporate the color pink in the show attire for their booth staff. As companies continue to commit, ASA and NACE | CARS will issue updates through press releases to acknowledge their support and contribution.

The breast cancer fundraising efforts will be present throughout NACE | CARS. Details will be addressed during the opening session, and special NACE | CARS commemorative pins to help raise awareness will be available for purchase leading up to and during the show. Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure representatives will be in attendance in the afternoon on Friday, July 24th to provide breast health education and accept a donation on behalf of NACE | CARS and the automotive industry.

NACE | CARS is excited about the immediate and growing support that has been received regarding these fundraising efforts and is proud to be a part of the cause to support breast cancer programs and research. If you or your company is interested in making a donation and/or in purchasing pins for your staff or customers, you can contact Dan Risley directly at [email protected]. Pins will also be sold throughout the show at the convention center.
