Record-Setting Attendance At Federated-KOI Auto Parts Cavalcade Of Customs

The annual Federated-KOI Auto Parts Cavalcade of Customs and Training Expo, held Jan. 9-11 in Cincinnati, saw an increase in attendance of over 19 percent from last year’s record crowd. As part of the vendor trade show, KOI Auto Parts offered 32 types of training workshops for a total of 81 sessions held during the weekend. A record-setting 754 service technicians, shop owners and shop managers attended multiple training classes taught by qualified instructors from Federated/KOI vendor partners.

Collaborative Effort Between EPA, Brake Manufacturers And Motor Vehicle Industry Will Reduce Copper In Brake Pads

Representatives of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) and motor vehicle industry associations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the agency and the motor vehicle industry for the reduction of copper in brake pads. The MOU calls for the reduction of the use of copper in brake pads beginning in 2021 to levels less than 5 percent by weight and further reductions to 0.5 percent by the year 2025.
