Federated’s Kenny Schrader to Compete in SRX Racing Series

Kenny Schrader to Compete in SRX Racing Series

The six-race series featureds drivers from a variety of racing backgrounds with an emphasis on champion-level drivers.

Federated Auto Parts spokesperson Kenny Schrader will be one of the drivers in this summer’s Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) racing series. Schrader will compete with such racing legends as Kyle Busch, Helio Castroneves, Brad Keselowski and SRX founder Tony Stewart, Federated said.

“Federated is honored to be partnering with Kenny for his SRX race experience this summer,” said J.R. Bishop, director of event marketing and member services for Federated. “We know our members and their customers will enjoy watching Kenny compete with some of racing’s best drivers. As one of the greatest dirt track drivers of all time, Kenny is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for the ESPN audience and will represent Federated in a first-class manner, as he always does.”

The SRX races will be broadcast on ESPN and the ESPN app under the iconic “ESPN Thursday Night Thunder” branding for six consecutive Thursday nights starting on July 13 at 9 p.m. The first race was held at the Stafford Motor Speedway in Springs, CT. Denny Hamlin scored the victory in the season-opener, though the race was called early due to weather.

The remainder of the schedule includes stops at the Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, VT (July 20), Motor Mile Speedway in Fairlawn, VA (July 27), Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI (August 3), Eldora Speedway in New Weston, OH (August 10) and Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO (August 17).

SRX was created by Sandy Montag and The Montag Group, former NASCAR COO George Pyne, Stewart and NASCAR hall of fame crew chief and owner Ray Evernham. Over the first two seasons of SRX, the six-race series has featured drivers from a variety of racing backgrounds with an emphasis on champion-level drivers. SRX has seen some of the sport’s biggest names compete including: Stewart, Castroneves, Bill Elliott, Chase Elliott, Tony Kanaan, Paul Tracy, Bobby Labonte, Willy T. Ribbs, Hailie Deegan, Ryan Blaney, Ryan Newman, Greg Biffle, Marco Andretti, Matt Kenseth, Michael Waltrip, Josef Newgarden, Ryan Hunter-Reay and many more.
