Auto Care Association, ASE Recognize 2016 World Class Technicians

Of the more than 840,000 automotive technicians working in the United States, 12 individuals have qualified for the prestigious 2016 World Class Technician Award. Each year, the Auto Care Association and National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) work together to recognize these professional technicians who have tested and obtained ASE certification in 22 specialty areas during the annual test administrated by ASE.

ASE Announces New Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Certification

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has announced a new certification category for those involved in servicing hybrid vehicles. The Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist (L3) is a new advanced level certification geared toward technicians who perform diagnosis and repairs on hybrid/electric vehicles. Technicians can register starting Dec. 1, 2014. Testing begins in January 2015.

ASE Industry Education Alliance Recognizes Instructors

The ASE Industry Education Alliance recognized 34 members of the inaugural class of automotive instructors at the ASE Industry Education Alliance Instructor Training Conference, July 28-Aug. 1 at The Alexander Hotel in Indianapolis, Ind. Eleven of the recipients received their awards at the conference.
