ATMC Announces New Name: ASE Training Managers Council

ATMC Announces New Name: ASE Training Managers Council

The name change reflects the affiliation the council has with ASE as well as an overall rebranding of all organizations affiliated with ASE.

Effective immediately, the Automotive Training Managers Council (ATMC) has changed its name to the ASE Training Managers Council. The name change reflects the affiliation the council has with ASE as well as an overall rebranding of all organizations affiliated with ASE. The name change was made by unanimous vote of the ATMC board of directors to take advantage of the high brand awareness of ASE among consumer, industry and education audiences.

“The core mission of ATMC remains the same,” said Dave Milne, ATMC president. “We have created a non-competitive environment in which training managers from the auto, truck and collision industries, from both OEMs and the aftermarket, can network with one another, using their collective knowledge to develop solutions to shared training challenges.”

ATMC will continue to administer the continuing education training provider accreditation program. Training providers who successfully complete, or have completed, the Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE) evaluation process will now be known as ASE Accredited Training Providers. The Council also will continue to host its annual ATMC Conference (this year to be held April 11-13, in Atlanta) as well as the ATMC National Excellence in Training Awards given each November in Las Vegas.
