Leather jackets, poodle skirts and saddle shoes squared off against tie-dye shirts, mini skirts and bellbottoms at the recent DRIVE EXPO Theme Party, at the DoubleTree Hotel at the entrance to Universal Orlando. The battle for decade supremacy was fierce but the clear winner was everyone in attendance.

Participants were encouraged to dress in their favorite ’50s-style threads or foxiest ’60s outfits and rock around the clock to the classic rock sounds of Orlando’s Chrome ’57 band.

“This party was a great way to cap an amazing weekend,” said one attendee dressed in an outfit that would make Elvis proud. “We were able to let our hair down or, in my case, grease it back and celebrate. It’s amazing how much we were able to learn from the trainers, the vendors and the other DRIVE Shops in attendance here in Florida. I’m so glad we were here!”

Several hundred attendees of the 2022 DRIVE EXPO went back in time to close out the three-day event, held Friday, August 25th – Sunday, August 28th. “Combining innovative training and management solutions with state-of-the-art technology, DRIVE EXPO provides a unique learning experience for shop owners. We strive to improve not only their independent repair business but the community and the industry as a whole,” explained David Saline, DRIVE Vice President of Sales.

“Nothing beats a live event,” said Andrew Markel, director of technical content, Babcox Media. “At the sessions and on the show floor, the exchange of ideas between shop owners, DRIVE staff and vendors was priceless and will impact the industry for years to come.”
