Water Pumps: The Core Of The Cooling System (Webinar)

Today's cooling system is more complicated than many people understand. This webinar will answer questions.

In order to achieve optimal combustion events, the mixture of air and fuel must be at the correct temperature inside the combustion chamber. If a cylinder is too cold, it will require extra fuel. Conversely, if a cylinder is too hot, the fuel and air could combust prematurely or produce less power.

Controlling the temperature is the responsibility of the water pump, thermostat, and fans. During this webinar, experts will discuss how cooling systems regulate and how to troubleshoot overheating issues on modern engines.

In collaboration with Carter, ShopOwner and Tomorrow’s Technician will present a free, interactive webinar on Thursday, July 28 at 2:00 pm Eastern/11:00 am Pacific. Modern Cooling System Diagnostics: Pumps, Fans and Thermostats will examine water pump design and operation, explain how coolant transfers heat, prevents corrosion and lubricates the water pump and present tips to troubleshoot common overheating issues.

“The modern cooling system is more complicated than many people understand,” explains Andrew Markel, Technical Content Director for Babcox Media. “With my guest, Paul Przybyl, lead engineer for water pumps at Carter, we’ll examine common errors technicians make during water pump installation that impact the pump’s operation. We’ll help answer many questions.”

The 45-minute webinar will include a live Q&A session and a certificate of completion. In addition, as a thank you for attending, 50 randomly selected attendees will receive a $10 Amazon gift card.
