The Auto Care Association salutes the Connecticut legislature for passing State Bill S. 99, which mandates that at the time of the sale of a new motor vehicle, a new car dealer must deliver to the purchaser of the vehicle a printed explanation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
Auto Care Association And ASE Recognize World Class Technicians
Of the more than 840,000 automotive technicians working in the United States, 17 outstanding individuals have qualified for the prestigious 2015 World Class Technician Award. The Auto Care Association and National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) work together to recognize these professional technicians who have tested and obtained ASE certification in 22 specialty areas during the 2014 test administrated by ASE.

Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO, Auto Care Association, recently announced her plans to retire, effective Dec. 31, 2015. Schmatz joined the association in 2002, and was named president and CEO on Jan. 1, 2004 after 30 years with Babcox Media.
