Hybrid-Ready Bosch ACS 620H A/C Refrigerant Handling System Offers Speed, Flexibility And Ease Of Use

Bosch's hybrid-ready ACS 620H Digital A/C Refrigerant Handling System is user-friendly and independently certified to the new J2788 High Voltage Addendum standard. This allows the shop to service hybrid vehicle A/C systems utilizing high-voltage electric drive compressors. Accurate, safe hybrid service is made possible by the service hose flush capability, and the absence of on-board oil injection, which prevents system oil cross contamination greater than 1000 PPM between back-to-back services.

Accurate, safe hybrid service is made possible by the service hose flush capability, and the absence of on-board oil injection, which prevents system oil cross contamination greater than 1000 PPM between back-to-back services.

The 620H is also fully compliant with the J2788 standard, for servicing conventional A/C systems.

Featuring a swivel control turret housing with an LCD display and easy-to read gauges, the new R134a refrigerant recovery/recycle/recharge systems is equipped with a large 6 CFM vacuum pump, an easy-access refrigerant filter for quick maintenance, and a patented manifold assembly that increases machine uptime – and therefore shop revenue.

Easy to use, durable, and long-lasting, this machine services air conditioning systems quickly and with precision, avoiding comebacks due to improper refrigerant charge,“ said Tim Stumpff, product manager for Bosch Diagnostics Business Unit.

Comebacks are a hot topic today. You need to track
all comebacks, determine the reason (tech error, part error, training issue,
other) and then calculate the true cost of the comeback.
Here are a few things to consider:
• The loss of time when performing the comeback; time that the tech can use to
perform other work and generate profit;
• The misc costs, such as overhead costs, supplies, cleaners, etc.;
• Towing costs, rental, etc.;
• Cost to morale;
• Reputation damage; and
• Reduction to your profit margin.
For every part issue, you need to
inform your supplier. Sit down with suppliers on a regular basis. Don’t return defective
parts until you have listed the parts, and maintain a report. Document
everything.
Part issues are increasing. Every shop
owner I speak to is frustrated over this.
Remember, comebacks kill your bottom
line. The more comebacks you have, the more they’re killing your profits.
