Following the race, Steve Letarte, crew chief for the #24 Chevrolet of Jeff Gordon, received Federal-Mogul Corporation’s MOOG “Problem Solver of the Race” Award. It was Letarte’s second MOOG Problem Solver award of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.

The MOOG Problem Solver award is presented to the crew chief whose car delivers the largest increase in average lap speed during the second half of each Sprint Cup event while finishing on the lead lap. The #24 Chevrolet posted a race-best 0.474-second improvement at Talladega.

“Steve Letarte and the Hendrick Motorsports crew, knowing they had a great-handling car equipped with MOOG chassis parts, played it perfectly today by staying out of trouble and making a push to the front over the last 15 laps,” said Federal-Mogul Motorsports Director Tim Nelson.

Darian Grubb (Tony Stewart, #14 Chevrolet) and Shane Wilson (Clint Bowyer, #33 Chevrolet) are tied for second with three wins apiece.
