Auto Parts Inflation Slowing Down

In January 2023, the CPI for Motor Vehicle Parts and Equipment rose 8.3% over January of 2022.

Data Did You Know: The pace of inflation in motor vehicle parts is slowing down. Prices are still going up, just not as fast as they were before. In January 2023, the CPI for Motor Vehicle Parts and Equipment rose 8.3% over January of 2022. That compares to December’s gain of 9.9%. 

Before that we had 14 consecutive months with double-digit price increases. The chart below shows the change over the previous 12 months.
