MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. has announced a three-year, multifaceted partnership with the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) naming Clevite the official bearing of the IHRA. As part of the agreement, Clevite also will present a special award at IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series events run in conjunction with the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL.

From the ASE A4 Task List: Inspect and adjust front and rear steering linkage geometry (including parallelism and ride height). The two most common types of steering linkage are parallelism and rack and pinion. Parallelism steering linkage uses the pitman arm and idler arm to support the center link, forming a parallelogram. Tie rods connect a center link to the steering knuckles.

A few months back, a customer came in with a broken seat frame on her Honda Pilot. The car had more than 150,000 miles on it and the seat frame broke through use. Replacing the seat frame, with labor, would be well over $1,100. My foreman recommended welding the frame, saving the customer hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Two months later the car returned with the seat frame broken in a different spot.
