AASA’s AutoTech Connect And Mobility Innovation Conference Put Focus On Tech In The Automotive Aftermarket

AASA's Mobility Innovation Conference and its co-hosting of AutoTech Connect provided valuable venues for industry professionals to learn about and discuss the recent advancements in automotive technology.

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) just wrapped up its second event focused on advancing technology and business interests for the automotive industry. AASA’s Mobility Innovation Conference and its co-hosting of AutoTech Connect provided valuable venues for industry professionals to learn about and discuss the recent advancements in automotive technology.

AASA’s Mobility Innovation Conference was produced by the AASA Mobility Technology Council (MTC) and was held on Oct. 2 in Boca Raton, Florida. The conference included insights on the latest trends in telematics, predictive analytics, mobile apps, plug-in devices, sensors, vehicle data platforms, ADAS and more.

AutoTech Connect was held on Sept. 5 in Menlo Park, California. The event was the result of a close partnership between AASA, the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) and Capstone Financial Group, Inc. The event served as a meaningful opportunity for industry professionals to meet with startup companies that have advanced technologies for connected vehicles, telematics, EV and other applications.

“AASA has worked hard with members and sister divisions to provide venues for traditional suppliers and technology startups to collaborate on new business ideas and technologies,” said Chris Gardner, senior vice president, AASA. “We have already seen partnerships emerge from events we held, and the responses from members regarding the technology leadership demonstrated at these events has been tremendous.”

Plans already are underway for expanding both events in 2020.
