AACF Offers Support To Natural Disaster Victims

“We are counting on aftermarket industry companies and the news media to spread the word about AACF and how we can help.”

The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) is offering aid to aftermarket families affected by the recent natural disasters.

“Although AACF doesn’t claim to be a disaster relief service, we will do our best to identify and assist those industry families that have immediate and unmet needs in keeping with our mission to support aftermarket families facing catastrophic circumstances,” said Joel Ayres, executive director of AACF.

“After a record-setting start, the Atlantic 2021 hurricane season does not show any signs of relenting as it enters the peak months ahead,” said NOAA administrator Rick Spinrad said in a statement. We most recently witnessed the substantial impact of loss as a result of Hurricane Ida and the residual effects of its tropical storm. This means that more aftermarket families could be displaced in the upcoming months.

This season we have also seen floods devastating communities. Just last week it was announced that 22 died and many are missing after 17 inches of rain hit Tennessee. And on the west coast record setting fires continue to ravage Northern California with very little containment.

“We are counting on aftermarket industry companies and the news media to spread the word about AACF and how we can help those industry families needing extra financial support at this time,” said Ayres. “This is the time we can make a real difference in their lives.”

If you or someone you know needs help, contact us through our website: https://www.aacfi.org/get-help, by email ([email protected]) or by calling 772-286-5500.

AACF is also going to need the generous support of our industry to be in a position to respond effectively. We thank all of those who have already made contributions and welcome donations of any amount. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who suffer during this profound time of crisis.” Donations can be made at https://www.aacfi.org/donate.
